Inspecting for Better Lives consultation
Consultation closed 28 January 2005.
Inspecting for Better Lives was one of CSCI's most important
consultations to date. It focused on how we regulate social care
and how we plan to improve it.
The consultation period ended on 28 January 2005. The commission
received a fantastic 4,000 responses from the public, owners of
care businesses and other public bodies about how we can make these
improvements. An impressive 70% of respondents thought that our
proposals were "good" or "very good".
Proposals which generated the most positive feedback:
- Focussing on problem areas of social care
- Focussing on the experience and feedback of those who use
services
- Reducing the administrative burden of inspections
